I found this on an earlier reddit post - like 11 years earlier - the short was shot at his own house! It stars his own wife as his love interest! OMG!!!!
"This short film was released in 2013, after the finale of Fringe. While their connection can't be ignored, I find Friend very interesting in its own right. The script is almost completely wordless, so John is forced to convey emotion purely through expressions. As expected, his acting is extremely good, and he does a great job selling viewers on a character we know nothing about in a very short amount of time.
While it is only eight minutes long, it does a fantastic job of making more with less. There are peaks and valleys of emotion, mystery and a big reveal all in eight minutes, but it doesn't feel rushed at all.
In a way, it was the final send-off for Fringe as the crew is comprised entirely of former Fringe cast members and their families, who John Noble refers to as his "Fringe family." Below are the credits, where I marked the people I was able to identify specifically.
