In May I was terminated from a position. Several of the employees were close to me: we’d hang out often, have heart-to-heart talks, I’d go to them for advice during tough times, etc. I very much enjoyed them and they (seemingly) enjoyed my company.
However, yesterday afternoon I sent a message to the group chat we all were in just to say hi and that they were on my mind, hope things were going well. But I never got a response from any of them, nor have I heard from them in several weeks.
I guess the feeling of losing friends is painful, and I know they were coworkers but it’s still painful to realize that I’m not even worthy of a text response. Maybe I’m being melodramatic, but I’m looking for some advice to help cope with this.
