Hey all! For starters I am a 27 year old guy working in semi’s traveling all over the west coast. For the next year or so I’ll be In Oregon and I’m genuinely curious how I can make real friends out here. I would describe myself as a pretty social and outgoing person, I enjoy making friends and I love new adventures and new people, however it seems harder than ever to make genuine connections with people, male or female, where they genuinely want to be friends! Anyone that travels for work knows how soul sucking hotel life can be. Especially on a regular basis. I typically fly home every Friday and fly back out every Monday, but have the option to stay for the weekends. However if I choose to stay I’m missing out on my warm comfy bed in the house I own. And if I stay I’m just not home, and I don’t get to enjoy the pleasures of being in a place I’m truly familiar with either. I’ve been in this role for the past year and a half now and am desperate for social interaction outside of a bartop conversation. Any suggestions/tips? Thank you all!
