God, I love this entry. The editing is so tight it could pop a blood vessel. The opening flashback montage (PREVIOUSLY ON CRYSTAL LAKE!) is so tremendous. Every suspense scene is edited for maximum tension. I especially love the scene right after the helicopter leaves and we sit in the silent darkness of Higgins Haven … and then boom, the doors hit with them wheeling Jason’s body in. This is easily the best film. It’s every single thing perfected about the franchise. Jason has never been scarier since then. That perfect culmination of the “Human Jason” trilogy.
