I started a no filter 5 gallon tank about a month ago. It's been doing ok beside this agle that keeps growing. I've talked with my local fish shop owner but he isn't much help as his answers aren't fixing it Or he wants me to spend lots of money on the problem.

This tank sits in natural sun light from about noonish till sunset.

I have put stabilizer in like he suggested now almost every day beside maybe 2 weeks. When I 1st got it up and going I did the week suggested by the bottle and then stopped till about a month ago when He said to keep adding it.

I've also done a water change about a week ago. I have 3 shrimp in there and a few Terra and a betta.

I saw my NO3 and 2 where up but he said put prime and stabilizer in. Which isn't helping and now I have a sick fish. I added a filter on for now and it's helping with keeping the water "clean" I do go in and try to clean up the agle as well so it doesn't get as bad but it's growing on the plants.

I'm not sure if the plants are dead or if I messed something up.

I turn to you reddit for help. I'm guessing the agle is causing the hike. Or the hike is causing the agle.

I do have a few iron rocks in there from lake superior but I don't think it would cause this kind of issues (they where cleaned before putting in.)
