I need people who have been into magic for 10 plus years to give a solid answer. I know the main attract on paper for mtg to attract new players is commander but how well does it do so? does marketing commander as the main format actually work at getting newer people into magic? Does it attract people all kinds of people instead of people who just comsume estrogen for breakfast. Does it attract people of all ages? Does it attract people who are genually good people? This is just something i need to know because tommorrow is the first commander local I will go to.
Edit: I have one more question. Is it true that magic players are really and I mean REALLY polictally opinionated? I just am wondering this because I don't want to hear someone's rant the economy, laws or some shit. I just want to find people to play that I can have good fun with since commander is a social game.
