For the last year or so, I haven’t been focused on freelance writing. I found a full-time job as a proofreader and have been doing that. However, a friend’s partner was seeking pitches in one of my niches and offering “good pay,” so I thought I’d apply. My pitch was accepted and the “good pay” ended up being $1/word. I’m honestly flabbergasted in the best possible way.
My question is: how do I keep this momentum up? This company is not broadly a publisher so I don’t expect them to regularly provide me with work. However, this seems like it may potentially be a great starting point to work on my writing career again.
Does anyone have tips for building on this? Thank you!
