How do you drop a client that’s difficult to work with?
Post Body

I'm a top-rated romance ghostwriter on Upwork with lots of clients. I usually find new clients easily. But one of my recent clients keeps asking for major changes, not just small edits. She wants to redo whole chapters or change the story's direction.

I don’t charge for revisions usually. Because it’s never been an issue for me. I’d add a paragraph or two, or fix my mistakes for free. It would only take me 10-20 minutes to do it. But now I feel like I’m spending my whole day revising her story and not get paid for it. This hasn't happened with my other clients, who usually just ask for minor tweaks. This client is tough to work with and it's really hurting my motivation. I was excited about her story at first. Now I don’t even want to write for her at all. Because, I feel like no matter what I write, she will still ask for me to change something.

We agreed on the first outline, but now things are difficult. I'm thinking of stopping work with her, but I'm worried about a bad review. It’s clear we're not a good match. She's also expecting two more books after this one. How do I let her know I don’t want to continue working with her after this book?
