Beginner here, how do you guys research?

I'm focusing on topics I'm interested in and that aren't completely new to me, but researching for writing articles and blogs still feels overwhelming to me.

One wikipedia page itself feels like a lot to consume, even if I'm just skimming and surveying the text. Then if you have other supporting linked pages for related concepts, there's even more to research.

To some extent I will probably just need to push through until the needed research goes down but I am pretty sure I'm not doing this the best I can.

Also, can you guys suggest me resources for learning how to write for freelance purposes in general, too? Things like articles and blogs, I think, would be my focus.
