No SMS Service help

Hello I have a Samsung S8 on the freedom network. I can receive and send calls and my data is fine, but I can not receive or send SMS messages. I tried every trouble shooting "fixes" I could find on Google. I also tried my sim in another phone with the same results. I called freedom and spoke with L2 in the tech department and was told I would have to wait 5 days for answers. Has this happen to anyone? If it has happen does anyone know a way to fix this issue?
