I’ve only been diving maybe 4-5 times, and I’m kind of a slow learner.
When I’m coming back up from a Line dive, it seems as if the rope is diagonal. So if I didn’t have the line, I’d be going up diagonally when I think I’m going straight up.
Is this a sign that something is wrong with me? My grandpa had an issue with his ear and can’t dive because of it, but I’ve been scuba and Freedive certified and hit about 49ft on both.
I’ve been recreational diving in a kelp forest and I didn’t feel like I had this issue. Maybe I just had more pound of reference to help my brain figure out which way was up?
I’m also thinking that there’s a lot going on and it’s difficult for me to process everything, and “which way is up?” Is just less important than the panic, equalizing, etc…
Anyone experience feeling like they’re going up diagonally when they’re going straight or something?
