I have been trying to get my first free-diving nose clip and have found shopping for one to be much more difficult than anticipated. What I have found odd is how some of the best/recommended nose clips out there come without a lanyard and how so often ones I hear mentioned online are difficult to purchase online.

In situations like this in the past it has been due to some recall or concern with the product category.

My figuring is I am looking for one that looks like it is shaped like a clamp, has good reviews, and has a lanyard on it.

Recommendations I have found online point me to the following:

Azure nose clip -> only purchasable on sites with expensive shipping

Mares nose clip -> no lanyard. Poor reviews on amazon.

Omer nose clip -> Hard to buy no lanyard

Scubapro nose clip -> Can't find anyone selling it

Can I get away with a clip that is not shaped like an adjustable clamp so long as the nose clip says it's for free diving? I am just hoping for something to start swimming with to get used to. But I would prefer one that will not hold me back as I progress.
