Hello, fellow Frenchmen. I have a question regarding flight prices. I live in Italy and I wanted to visit France during the first week of November (visiting my girlfriend). I noticed that the flight tickets are extremely expensive in that week and then the prices drop significantly in the second half.
An example: the Florence->Lyon Volotea flight is usually in the 20-50€ range and they're like that after the first week of November but in the first week, they're in the 150-250€ range. It's the case of buses in that period too and from any city in Italy to any city in France.
I thought it could be because of the Halloween or something (although it's only a two days holiday) but the prices from France to Italy in that week are very cheap.
So the question is: why are the flight tickets to France so expensive in this week?
