Having trouble installing Windows on my DIY FW 16
Post Body

Planning on daily driving Linux for the first time and first time "building" any kind of PC but have been watching enthusiast YouTube channels for years so it has been relatively a breeze. Running a Dual-Drive, Dual-Boot set up like the hardware based Method A in this video with Linux Mint Debian Edition (LMDE) and its GRUB menu on the 2280 M.2 and Windows 11 on the 2230 M.2. I've got LMDE up and running flawlessly but I am having problems installing Windows.

For the most part I've been following Framework's Windows 11 install guide. However, I only have access to a Chromebook (and now LMDE on my FW 16) so I can't use Rufus. I used the "Chromebook Recovery Utility Extension Tool" to install LMDE but the Windows 11 drive made with it doesn't work. I also tried making an install USB with LMDE's native creation tool but that one didn't work either. I get to the language selection, time and currency, keyboard screen then the next page it says my device doesn't have the necessary drivers. I have the Windows 11 Driver Bundle ready on another USB drive but it isn't being recognized.

Is this the "To avoid getting stuck during installation, we recommend using Rufus to create the installer, which allows you to bypass the network requirement" part mentioned in the installation guide and why they recommend Rufus?

I can only think of two other possibilities: 1. The guide specifically mentions the ISO as Win11_22H2_English_x64v2.iso while the current version is Win11_23H2_English_x64v2.iso but I don't think that's likely; 2. Even less likely is the fact that I don't have a Windows product key since I'm just installing it in a dual-boot setting as a fallback in the event of "If all else fails" on Linux so I don't mind having the watermark and being unable to change the wallpaper. However, I don't think it can be this since I don't even get to the point that it asks me for it.

So... Is the lack of Rufus my problem or something else? Any ideas for solutions given my OS limitations at the moment or am I S.O.L.?
