solved: [ ….no 16 does not supersede 13; ….in fact this company is opposed to obsolescence; ….pleased]
Hi I love the idea of modular computers and Linux and I am happy to pay to be an early adopter.
I have put down an order for a hefty Framework 13 coming in Batch 4 - Ships Q4. I want it to last and I like the company so I went big spec. AMD stuff.
The idea is moving on from Apple and waiting until RISC-V becomes viable. Maybe even get RISC-V modules for this FrameWork in five years. Who knows.
Then I saw the FrameWork 16 is coming out. Now, fair enough. They want to move on.
I don’t really care about GPU compute on a laptop. I don’t game I am a coder. And I don’t care about RGB keebs.
But. Am I buying something that is now obsolete? Or is the 13” a parallel product to the 16”?
Thoughts please.
