What it says on the tin.
I recently purchased a number of samples from someone who got them in Sens Unique boxes, which got me interested. I've also previously taken note of and been curious about the Indigo monthly sampling program. So now I'm super curious about recurring sample subscriptions curated by high end perfume retailers in general. I tried to do a search but haven't seen any threads discussing these.
The deets:
Sens Uniques sends you 6 x 2 ml sprayers every month that they pick. They seem to be curated around a theme each month. The price is 22€ although it goes down with longer subscriptions to as low as 15€/month for a year, free worldwide shipping from France, and a coupon off your box's cost if you buy any fragrance in it.
Indigo is $12 for 3 samples - one 2 ml "new" fragrance, one "mystery" sample of indeterminate size, and one 1 ml favorite. The "new" fragrance comes with a 20% off discount that month and the blind fragrance comes with an opportunity to win a full bottle if you correctly guess what it is.
Would love to hear people's first hand experiences with either of these subscriptions, or any others like them in the niche/artisan field. Are they worth it? What sorts of scents have you received? Indigo, for example, carries what I consider to be almost exclusively ultra-high-end and artisan, whereas Sens Unique seems to run the gamut a bit more. Did you find your boxes to dwell in the lower end more of the retailer's offerings, or was it a good array? Can they be customized slightly with some notes to the selector - nothing crazy specific, but say "I loathe sweet scents", for example? And most importantly, did you enjoy the experience?
