Learned a new way to damage a quad
Post Body

Do you think the ESC could be damaged too?

Top photo: motor (on rear of quad) apparently got slammed (top first) into the asphalt brutally ending what would have been an epic power loop if maybe I had pulled up sooner. It won't spin under power, and is crunchy when trying to spin by hand. Appears the rotor (I think it's called?) is rubbing on the heat shrink, and likely is somewhat f-ed internally.

Bottom photo: non-damaged motor for comparison.

Got a replacement motor (and now a spare!) in the shopping cart already, but I'm wondering if y'all think the ESC could be damaged too. No smoke, nor any scorch marks on the ESC board itself, but wondered if maybe something could have overloaded if it was trying to power coils with the rotor stuck.

This was my first time flying a 5" (Bardwell QAV-S 2) and of course it happened on my last pack. Was lots of fun finally getting the chance to take this thing outside since the weather has been nicer. Need to find a softer place to fly...
