Writing because none of my friends read this book and i need to get a few things about this book out of my brain.

I hate the tension or rather the strain on Violet and Xaden's relationship, it hurts my heart so bad because I think I truly see both sides. Violet sees love as needing to be 100% transparent and Xaden sees himself as a protector, not that he wants to keep things from her but that he loves her enough to shield her. Not that he thinks she isnt capable but that he'll die for her before he lets her risk herself. IE the situation shes in right now where shes essentially being punished just for being in a fight with the vernin, knowing it exists because Dain's dad assumed they would have all died but they didnt. And they dont even know what she TRULY knows just assumptions based on what leadership knows about whats out there. When xaden says "you love me" and she says dont remind me and he replies "maybe you're not the one im reminding" if i was Violet i would have been all over him, even when they kiss the way Rebecca writes about how she feels I dont I could have the strength or rather stubbornness to not give myself over to that intensity

Varrish is a piece of shit, everything he does pisses me off and i wish Tarin would have eaten him instead of making him apologize

It also hurts my that there is this barrier between Violet and Rhi, we saw them get so close last book and I love that Rhi calls her out like girl you are my friend and I know you and I know you're pushing me away and I will give you your space but also lets BFFR. Its funny to me that Violet doesnt equate what shes doing to Rhi as what Xaden does to her. She loves Rhi but wants to protect her.......

Anyways please be kind lmaooo im sure im due for more trauma as I continue to read. Aiming to be done with this book before EOW and read the bonus xaden chapters before onyx storm release next week!!!!
