On some level, I fully understand that MB pens, especially modern ones, are overpriced for what they are. They're prestige markers, the kind of thing you gift someone when they land that promotion at their hedge fund or when they finish a doctorate. I'm not a high-class kinda person, nor someone with the budget for a $200 hobby purchase. I have some amazing, classy, even gold nib vintage pens. But especially after losing the pen I last came here to complain about, there's something about that snowstar cap that keeps me doomscrolling r/Pen_Swap.
Anyway, love y'all, and if you read this much: have you ever had a fixation on a brand?
Update: I did it, I bought a mid-80s 144 and for once, my urge to buy new pens is gone-gone. I love it and it's quickly becoming my favorite note-taking pen!
