A Blue Kind of Day, Perhaps
I took a chance on winter deliveries, supply chain madness, border insanity, and ordered some ink from Birmingham Pen Company.
What I went For
Not sure if was the weather, not sure if it was the mood, not sure if there is a real difference there, but I got:
- Cold Steel (grey with some sheening)
- Voltaic Arc (blue to red, very strong sheeing)
- Supercell (blue to teal, nicely shading)
- Alternator Crimson (grey to grey-black, nicely shading)
- Angelfish (Blue to blue-red, strong sheening)
All 30ml, because that's enough given how many litres of ink I already have!
5 little inks, just sitting in a row...
The surprise was the degree of packing attention - the unboxing was epic:
So many extras, all waiting to be explored!
Nice! The notes were nice, too, personally signed and including a piece of TR52 for testing.
I carded them all together to get a sense:
Top down view, card is 4\"x6\" approx.
and of course the oblique to see the sheening:
Look at the Voltaic blasting sparks into the ether...
The surprise to me was that the one that won my respect instantly was Angelfish; I had heard Voltaic Arc was over the top (like Organic Studios Walden) but Angelfish pops so strongly!
