I thought this would be of interest to everyone. I am a hypnotherapist and integrate writing into my work.
Have you heard of graphotherapy? It is the practice of improving your mental state through your handwriting. You see, writing by hand is what is called an ideomotor response. It is why we are able to (with some degree of accuracy) assess someone's personality and mental state via a writing sample.
I myself practice this and teach it to many of my clients. It's part of the reason I exclusively use fountain pens.
So how about everyone? Those of you that made the effort to clean up your handwriting do you find that it helped in other areas of your life?
