Everybody likes a good fire at Christmas, right? This ink color is warm and toasty and named just perfectly for a good winter orange! I like it. It’s a pretty good color. It goes well with the chewy caramel chocolate we had in the candy advent calendar and the cozy comforting red wine we had in the wine calendar.

Today’s pen is a beautiful, classic Namiki Nippon Art fountain pen, Golden Pheasant version. This is the first really, really expensive pen I ever bought and I haven’t regretted it for a minute. It’s got a lovely smooth buttery Pilot gold nib (you Pilot fans know exactly what I’m talking about) and the maki-e on the pen, while not the highest-end maki-e, is nevertheless perfect and beautiful. The design is artistic and I love the swooping graceful feathers of the pheasant wings. It makes me smile every time I look at it.

The Stickii today is especially nice. I like the designs that look like postage stamps. And… ONE MORE DAY LEFT ON THE PUZZLE. Woo hoo! Tomorrow is Christmas Eve! Whatever you are celebrating, I hope you find peace and joy and the company of good friends and loved ones. :)
