Found a Jinhao X750 Shimmering Sands for 49¢(USD) on Aliexpress, and it finally arrived after a month at work on my day off. To be fair, it arrived in a plain box and plastic cover, so wasn't going in with high hopes.
Had to flush the nib a little (guessing someone is actually testing these before sending them out), inked it some. FWIW, seems to write okay.
