How do vets get to work with rescues?
Post Body

Hi everyone,

First an update from my first post since I am discussing the same dog. He is doing so well, settled down in his mannerisms towards my other dogs, and they are all now friends and get along pretty well. He is absolutely the sweetest and my morning walks with him are the best start to my day. The rescue and I had a long conversation and it turns out despite us witnessing the owner filling out the surrender paperwork they actually did not fill out much of it, so we are missing so much information about him. However we are learning as we go!

I am curious how rescues and vets work together and what the process is like. The rescue we got our foster from is an hour away without traffic in Atlanta, so if you live in Atlanta you know that means double the hike which is a big strain when you work full time. I am curious to see if we could work out something where our foster goes to our local vet, especially as we are in a holding pattern right now for allergy treatment and dental care due to the vet that the rescue uses having a medical emergency.

Any thoughts here?
