Damage resistance special stat?

Okay I have all special level 10 dwellers in my first room to deal with deathclaws. They all have powerful weapons and most have power armor on. Yet I still have to spam stim packs during a deathclaw attack. Is there a way to make them tougher??? Like is health or resistance tied to endurance or agility? They all have low numbers in both areas. All of them are level 50 so idk why I have to spam heal them so much. Seem super weak for max level and max strength.
