I saw someone else post in the Mega Tips and Tricks thread that when two parents have a baby in the vault, the lowest respective stats of each parent are what's passed on to the child. I haven't seen an independent confirmation of that, but I've ready plenty of posts where people turned their legendary characters into breeding machines. I patiently waited until I had both a male and female legendary that I could pair off, and last night it happened.

So, I put Three Dog (level 31) and Sarah Lyons (level 36) in a room together, endured their awkward romantic conversation, and waited for the inevitable child.

Here is everyone's SPECIAL:

Three Dog: 3-3-5-7-4-4-6

Sarah Lyons: 8-6-8-6-5-5-2

Expected Child: 3-3-5-6-4-4-2

Actual Child: 1-2-3-2-2-1-1

For those wondering, the child's stats did not improve when they became an adult, it looks like you're as smart, strong and coordinated at birth as you will be when you hit adulthood.

While I admit that getting the lower stats of the two parents in this case would have been a bit overpowered, I can't help but be disappointed that this child turned out to be no better than a random person showing up and knocking on the vault door. Am I doing something wrong?
