I used to play forza motorsport 4 back when I was younger but I've long since moved onto PC sim racing, and gotten more experience IRL. Since FM7 looks beautiful and sounds good with a wide range of cars and customization and its in the game pass for PC I was like sure why not.
I'm using a wheel so started off by turning off all assists except abs and then used sim steering, and the driving was awful. I did a couple laps of the nurburgring in a exige v6 and it wanted to drift at every single chance it could. An exige does not handle like this, 340hp is pretty decent in such a light car sure, but at like 120km/h an exige should be able to take some of the lighter corners flat without the tyres squealing and threatening a spin, especially at low speed, it felt like it had 700 hp.
I've seen some people suggest stability control is a necessity and even normal steering but I'm pretty sure I should just stay with sim steering if I have a wheel, I dont want anything interfering with steering angle.
Any other advice?
