Question about the new Horizon Story and this series completion

I notice that the new story is part of this series playlist. But, do I have to complete it in summers or do I have all month to complete the new story and it can still apply to my completion % for missed seasons?
I.E.- I'm below 80% for summer, if I don't complete the new story before the season resets tomorrow, will completing it later still boost my summer completion % after the fact?
