FE Transit didn't work for weekly challenge?

I already had the Forza Edition Transit so I didn't think I needed to buy one. Got in it and the "own and drive" part of the weekly didn't work? I even tried a race, switched cars, etc and it never worked.
Bought the standard Transit and it popped up right away. Anyone else experience this?
