We need ranked with damage to stop shameless rammers.
Post Body

I was playing hakone in formula Mazda. Started 16th after no quali, perfected the wet to dry pit stop and by the last lap was 2 seconds off the lead. Photo finish where I was p1 but p2 pushed me wide on the straight onto the grass. I finished ahead but got a .8 second penalty over the line losing me the race.

Incidents like this and the thousands of other similar incidents wouldn’t happen if damage was enabled. Damage is in the game and is the #1 reason not to ram in real life, why isn’t it used AT ALL in the game?

At least add a ranked hopper that uses damage to try it out… this game is fun casually but if you’re like me and like to win it really isn’t great.

That and fix the penalty system and safety rating. That way if you consistently have games where you're immediately ramming, an algorithm should be used to eventually suspend that person for a couple days. If it keeps happening, give them a week ban and then a full ban if it happens after that.  No body that is decent will fall into this category. Even beginners who are trying to learn how to race properly, because they will make bad mistakes, but it will not be so consistent for them to drop into a safety rating that is basically reserved for trolls.

Absolutely.

Sure, your car might get damaged by some idiot too. But it would definitely weed out all of the kids and idiots who think they're playing wreck fest and not Forza.

AND add two different modes, cosmetic and realistic damage.  That way the rammers who want to use you as their brake can stay in cosmetic.  While actual racers stay in damage.

Also, the rammers are almost always terrible drivers too, not just decent players that play dirty.  So even if they do join damage games, they're more likely to crash and damage their car.  And even a minor damage to something like steering or gearbox is gonna piss them off enough to never want to play it again.

Sorry, there's no rewind on multiplayer little Timmy. get back to your algebra homework and then you can jerk off to your Lamborghini poster before bedtime.

Permanent bans aren't too harsh for people purposely trolling. But knowing Forza, their algorithm would be dog shit and start banning people who are accidentally getting low safety ratings while trying to learn the game.

I agree with the report system and shadow banning to lobbies of pure trolls. That would also be funnier because they'll start getting confused why they're not winning races and why everyone who is keeping up with them is ramming them all the time too, unlike how it is now, where proper players will still try to give the rammer space and not make risky passes.

Like myself, if I get rammed, I don't catch back up and ram them. I purposely race slower around them and then pick the right moment to pass. Because I know that in every case, I am absolutely the better racer and if I out race them, they have no shot at catching back up to ram me again.

But shadow ban lobbies would be hilarious and it'd make great content of rammers making posts and asking why everyone is ramming them and immediately out themselves as a rammer who got shadow banned.  Because a lot of the times, it's just dumbasses who think they're playing wreckfest and not Forza, they still want to win, they just think that Forza is like NASCAR and you can do anything to win.

Which is cool in NASCAR, but that isn't how it works in proper racing.  And with how shit the penalty system is, it doesn't really indicate to the idiot that most of the moves they make would be an immediate black flag in an actual race.
