Stopped trains in New Haven

Several times per day, a train fully blocks all 5 crossings in New Haven. I understand accepting delays because trains keep the country running but it seems unnecessary when they stop for an hour plus. Is there anything to be done?

I’m in this thread because I needed to see if someone else was just as mad as I am. I’m quite literally stuck at a train right now after driving out of my way in New Haven to avoid a different stopped train it’s insane. Now I have to find another opening but guess what? Maplecrest is under construction!
