Cannot connect to client's network - "SSL VPN Connection is Down"

Post Body

Our client requires us to use Forticlient to connect to their network, however, they cannot help me with this. I have set up the address and customized port. I am using the ZTFA 7.2.4.0972 client on a laptop running Windows 10 Pro. The client requires Single Sign On with Microsoft Authenticator.

I click the option to connect. I get a Microsoft popup. I go to my Authenticator and enter the numbers shown on screen. The VPN says it's connecting, and then that it's connected and the Disconnect button becomes enabled. But above the VPN name the Status is 0%, and a popup appears from "FortiClient System Tray Controller" that says "SSL VPN connection is down." Needless to say my RDP connection will not connect to the internal IP address.

The client suggested I go into Settings and set Action for EMS invalid certificates to Allow. The setting does not "stick" in the dropdown.

Any help would be appreciated.
