Alonso’s demolitions of Kimi, Massa, Fisichella, and Piquet Jr. are all top 10 most one sided partnerships ever. On any car adjusted ranking, which essentially boils down to how good your teammates were and how you fared against them, Alonso was basically top every year from 2005-2016, with slightly down years in 2007 and 2015.

I think every model that tries to separate car and driver has Max in serious contention for GOAT status, or at least on that trajectory. He’s been the top driver by a big margin for 2 years now, and the gap is growing. Teammate dominance that we haven’t seen since at least Alonso, and likely Schumacher.
Just hope Red Bull can give him the car so he doesn’t end up in Alonso territory where everything car adjusted says he’s deserved 10 WDCs but the average fan only remembers him as a 2x.
