Starter edition drawbacks

Hi there, I'm a returning for honor player that sadly missed the Uplay giveaway do the standard edition,now my question is how much does the starter edition cripple me in getting new heroes? I'm interested in only a few of them like the Conqueror, gladiator, black prior and centurion. And can anyone recommend me a good way of getting steel? I have only 3900 now.
