Nuxia's Deflect not working?

I'm having a great time with marching fire except for a problem I've been consistently running into with nuxia when I deflect an attack opponents can chain through it such as kensei or orochi or are able to block it and a few times even parry it is this working as intended or is it connection or a bug anyone else have this problem?
