ubisofts main focus has been to simply equalize damage for most heroes. which in of itself i think is alright, looking back at some old videos both i and other content creators in for honors early days have made shugoki casually hitting for what now only Sohei is capable of was a bit nuts.

but they've also removed alot of the adverse effects of tools which either equalized or solidified fights. I'm talking about the stun mechanic. Very few moves still have it and personally with some of the reaction monsters around i think it would be a very valuable tool to have being pushed back into the game.

now roll with me on this one, say your getting decent at the game and the MMR decides to throw in a curve ball and yeet you against say someone whos like rep 700 thats not gonna be a fun match for you (unless they're a PvAI player then its a slog fest) and most likely this 700 rep person is gonna be playing one of the community claimed meta heroes or the new hero which people are still learning how to properly fight against or even some random character you never see anyone play (take my flair for example) keep in mind those meta characters or rare characters lack stun.

i can say that in the times where i've fought against people that absolutely outmatched me the times where they were affected with stun was a point where the fight was equalized. they could'nt see where my attacks came from and had to play soley off animation with drunk vision for maybe 2 seconds. in those 2 seconds i put that person on the back foot and the fight was alot more even both in terms of what each person could do and HP in the moment. now naturally after the fight someone would come in and finish off or reinforce the low HP person to make sure they got back to a decent amount of HP before taking off again but the point remains.

Stun coming back into the game, with moderation may be the thing that gives a noob a leg up in the fight. the main thing that i would change is that it cannot be re-applied until the previous stun has finished its duration. example would be old stunning tap or LB top heavies would re-apply stun over and over and over again til you basically were stunned to death. this would make it go [insert stunning move here] stun application for 2 seconds [insert stunning move] no application, no application [stun effect ends] move lands say a 4th or 5th time now after the stun has ended then it re-applies.
