Are you interested in building an open-source tool which allows investigative journalists to better analyze information? Would you like to work in a multicultural, innovative and evolving environment? This job is for you!
This full-time position will be based in Paris, France.
Under the supervision of ICIJ’s Chief Technology Officer, you’ll have the opportunity to build Datashare with a team of three developers and a Product Owner (who’s also user experience designer). As a local software, Datashare helps journalists better analyze their documents in a secure environment, with less risk of interception. Datashare runs text-extraction and named entity recognition on self-hosted documents, using Natural Language Processing models. You can learn more about Datashare’s stack in Datashare’s GitHub. The team is looking for a senior developer to help us execute Datashare’s roadmap. You’ll join a versatile team that is committed to building quality tools for investigative journalism.
ICIJ is a nonprofit news organization, headquartered in the United States, but we have a big team in Paris. We report and manage global investigations – /r/PanamaPapers for example – with reporters around the world.
