Post Body

We are an influencer marketing technology platform that connects influencers to brands and helps manage the logistics, content creation, and analytics/reporting of influencer marketing campaigns. We're a small team based in NYC, though our development team is distributed across the US.

We're looking for a mid- to senior React/Redux developer to help build and refine product features. You'd be joining a remote team of 3 developers and must be able to communicate well with others, while managing an even balance of teamwork and independent work. High proficiency in front-end technologies and development processes is a must: ES2018, React, Redux, SASS and git will be your daily tools. The ability to put together first-approximation UI prototypes based on wireframes and a styleguide, and a desire to improve your UI/UX abilities are also desired traits.

A typical day in your role might look like the following:

  • ~4 hours of uninterrupted solo work on 1-2 medium/large projects (new or redesigned features)
  • ~2 hours of miscellaneous UI/UX improvements
  • ~1 hour of code-related teamwork
  • ~1 hour of communication; status updates, product and design communication, etc

Here are the things expected of you:

  • Be able to develop all necessary JS, CSS, and HTML required to implement a design on a React/Redux/SASS/API stack
  • Feel comfortable developing a first-pass UI given only a wireframe, a description, a conversation, and a styleguide
  • Release quickly and iterate rapidly
  • Be able to coordinate with other developers on any API endpoints or other support you require
  • Be able to coordinate with the design team and others on UI/UX feedback
  • Good, clean code and patterns should come naturally to you
  • Be able to identify potential UX issues and suggest and implement improvements
  • Be a good, kind person that works well with others and is committed to self-improvement
  • Understand the balance between doing it right and doing it quickly, and when to use which approach
  • Works well independently, but also has a healthy attitude towards teamwork

This job is great for you if:

  • You really love designing and building products and UI/UX in React
  • You value work/life balance and working from home
  • You want to do solid, quiet work with some good people on a stable team for a few years
  • You want to be able to point at large portions of product and say "I built that"

This job is (probably) not for you if:

  • You've never worked remotely before
  • You require a lot of guidance and/or tend to want full specifications before starting a project
  • You want a salary competitive with Google or Silicon Valley startups
  • You like a lot of human interaction in your daily work
  • You have difficulty self-starting or self-motivating

Details:

  • Remote OK; proximity to NYC preferred; US required
  • 40-45 hour work week, ~9-6 eastern. Flexible for other time zones.
  • Position: Front-End Developer or Senior Front-End Developer
  • Salary range: $80-120k depending on experience
  • Benefits: 12 PTO days not incl sick days, health insurance stipend, small amount of vesting options

Company:

  • Bootstrapped and profitable tech startup
  • B2B / B2B2C model in the influencer marketing vertical
  • In business 8 years
  • 30 B2B customers, many of which you've heard of
  • 3 person engineering team
  • Total company size: 8 full time, 3 part time employees

To apply:

  • Send me a direct message with a portfolio, very short introduction (include your location and skillset), and your email address
