The job is to review this paper, and then:
provide an explanation of the paper's results understandable to a software developer with some math background
implement the two MATLAB algorithms described in the paper in Python, Ruby, Go, or another mainstream programming language runnable on Linux environments, for the n-dimensional case
have a one-hour video chat for Q&A
You should be comfortable with concepts like:
- affine subspaces
- coresets
- cost functions
- k-means clustering, j-subspace clustering
- singular value decomposition
Pay is US$1,500, payable via PayPal or Square Cash, and everything would need to be wrapped up by October 19:
- $100 is payable when you start
- $200 is payable when you finish a draft of the technical review
- $300 is payable when you finish the programs and they're in working order
- $400 is payable when the Q&A session is done
- $500 is payable when everything's done
