Looking for a physicist who can calculate various factors of a light source from a digital photo-data. By looking at a photo, figuring out the position of the light source, what kind of light source, the intensity of light will be your task. Good knowledge of photography is expected, but not necessary. However, knowledge with photo data will give you the ultimate edge.
The project will break grounds in the app-development world therefore will need creative thinking. Basic framework is in place but expression in math on this framework is currently lacking. This is where you come in and communicate your algorithm on tackling the problem. Bonus points if you are familiar with app (likely Android) development and if you have a background on optics research related to this project.
Please PM a resume with (all optional):
a reference to your first-author research papers (whether it be free or not) in any area of optics
photo projects you've worked on before
where your current interests lie (can be unrelated to your field)
Please be familiar with this guide.
