I own a new Snapchat show based in California. I’m looking to hire Thumbnail Designers who also have experience in creating titles for the show’s episodes.

Weekly tasks will include:

-Create 4-5 thumbnails and a set of titles for each thumbnail each week for our animal-themed Snapchat show, covering various topics such as animal-related celebrity news, top 10 lists, eerie animal sightings, animal history, and more trendy topics.

-Collaborate with me to brainstorm and implement effective thumbnail strategies.

Who I need for the role:

-Someone motivated and willing to take the show to the moon with us;

-Developed graphic design skills;

-Previous experience as a designer for other shows or channels is highly desirable.

-Proficiency in creating and manipulating images for attention-grabbing thumbnails.

-Thorough understanding of psychology, human behavior, and click-inducing factors. The thumbnails have to have some sort of strategy that makes someone click. For example: fear of missing out, revealing a secret, element of intrigue, sense of urgency, emotionally evocative, call to action, internet trend/humor, etc.

-Understanding of what a viral thumbnail is and how to create them.

-Ability to meet deadlines.

-Relevant portfolio showcasing your creativity.

-Knowledge of what copyright infringement is.

-Ability to follow Snapchat's thumbnail creation guidelines.

-Speedy communication response times.

-Willingness to sign a contract granting ownership of thumbnails and titles to the show and commit to producing a certain number of thumbnails and titles each week.

About the show:

I am a content creator with a passion for creating content. The show I run, Cute Animals, has been running for 45 days, with episodes averaging 35k views each. Currently, I've created all the episodes, and since I lack scripting and editing skills, I have not created any content except for compilation videos of funny animal clips. If compilations can do that well, we can do amazing with an actual video, especially with experienced editors and scriptwriters aboard.

Currently, I've just hired a few experienced scriptwriters and editors with millions of views under their belt. I have yet to have them start creating videos because I need a thumbnail designer to complete the team. I plan to expand the show beyond compilations to cover diverse topics like animal stories, news, extinct species, top 10 lists, and more. I'm looking to create content that resonates with viewers aged 16-25. With access to over 1 billion monthly viewers on Snapchat, this is your chance to showcase your skills in front of a global audience.

Pay:

The pay will be commission-based pay of a 10% share of the revenue generated from the episodes that use your thumbnails and titles. The show's RPM is estimated at $16 generated every 1,000 views. What revenue is generated, Snapchat takes 70% of it. So there is a 30% pot. We would give 10% of that pot to an editor. Which would be $0.48 for every 1,000 views.
