So I currently just finished a phone interview this week with a company that deals with environmental work. The title I would have is a “Work Planner/Auditor” and I would basically be inspecting utility lines and trees in a nearby city and deeming them safe or unsafe for residential areas.
I have absolutely no experience in a forestry like position so I would need some help on a few things.
The lady on the phone told me for my next interview to study trees in the area. What are some things I should know specifically about trees besides their species, color and appearance?
Can I advance in this career? I like how I’ll be working outside more than a 9-5 desk job but I won’t being making much over 40k at the moment. I don’t need 6 figures but I would like to make 60k-80k in several years.
What else should I know in general besides becoming a tree lover? 🌲
