FS but against American imperialism?

Forgive me if this makes me sound like a naive college kid, but would it be a conflict of interest if I became an FSO but don’t agree with US foreign involvement? Personally I would love to work in diplomacy abroad, but historically I don’t really agree with many of the US government’s actions... is this an issue or am I overthinking it?
