Language phone test compared to in-person test
Post Body

For my candidacy as a generalist, I passed the language "phone" test in Korean last month. Now I am contemplating moving forward with the in-person language test, hoping I can get at least a 2/1 which would give a .25 increase in my register score as opposed to the .17 increase I recently received.

For anyone who has taken both the language phone test and in-person test, can you give any comparisons without violating NDA? I feel confident for the reading section, but speaking on complex topics (political/economic/current events) is still difficult for me.

Has anyone passed the language phone test but failed the in-person language test? Or can I assume that if I passed the phone test, I can be confident to pass the in-person test with a 2/1?
