Not only is mine sun-bleached/faded to a light grey, (I want it black like new, along with a new front bumper) but I don't like how it's so....open. I'm sure it's not really a big deal, just a personal cosmetic thing.

Are there pros/cons to finding/installing something behind my current open grille, like a mesh-type thing, or the hexagonal pattern that newer models have? Is it open with the radiator exposed like how it is for a specific purpose?

I've looked everywhere online for replacement grilles/grille covers, and can't find anything like what I want. Seems I can only find what I want for '06 and newer.
