89 ranger steering box blew at the pitman arm can I just remove my power steering pump and cap off the two fittings on the side of the steering box and enjoy or will their be other consequences besides no power steering? Switching to a manual steering rack requires a different steering column supposedly. Goal was to delete eventually anyways just seeing if this will work the same
