ABS Query 2003 Ranger 4x4 2.5 deisel

When I break sometimes it almost feels like my brakes are trying to do morse code, particularly at speed. Then my ABS light comes on.
However when I turn the truck off and restart, it'll be fine for 100 miles or so and come back on.
Fuses are fine and brake fluid is fine
