I have a 2020 Fusion with eco boost and my check engine light came on, as well as the FordPass app saying that an issue has been detected in the emissions system. I’m noticing a couple of different things going on such as the following: - struggles to turn over when I start the car (specifically noticed whenever I pump gas)
when it does start up after struggling to turn over, sometimes it feels like the car is shaking a bit
my gas mileage display fluctuates quite a bit
the entertainment system screen goes black when I’m in the car for extensive periods of times, and requires me to cut the car off and back on for it to come back on
My question overall is, does anyone have any advice on how to go about things not in a super expensive manner? Or have any inclinations as to what may be going on specially?
Financially I’m in a tight spot with changing jobs and gearing up for school. I know that if I take it to the dealership to be looked at it’s going to cost more than what it should, and I don’t want that burden or potentially messing the car up even more. Just want to weigh out all options as best as possible.
Thank you for any advice and guidance in advance.
