Hey all. Doing some obsessive research for a tow vehicle and prefer an SUV versus truck. I’m thinking I might car camp on some occasions.
Over in the travel trailers subreddit most folks mention getting a Tahoe. No one seems to mention the Expedition. I’m partial to the Ford based on looks, features and it does tow a bit more with the right tow package.
Only looking at maybe a 3500lbs dry travel trailer. And roughly 700-800 in payload of gear/people. Florida driving maybe later venturing further but likely no mountains. So I’m overdoing it as more precaution than necessity I’m sure.
Looking at 2017 based on budget plus it was the last year for that gen so I’d like to think the kinks were worked out. 2018 maybe… but I’d be stretching it.
Any input, thoughts or assistance would be great. Appreciate everyone’s time to read and respond.
