I took my 2017 1.5L escape (titanium if it matters) to get checked out cause it had a check engine light and was a b***h to start after getting gas, so I take it to my local ford because everywhere I called said they dont work on emissions systems for cars that dont have gas caps??? (wtf) and they call me back same day and say it needs a new canister purge valve, I was like cool I figured thats what it was and I saw people on here getting it fixed for 3-400 so all was good, this mf tells me it’ll be almost 900 dollars to fix… is this normal? I haven’t seen anywhere that its that much, but long story short I said hell nah and went and bought the part through for 175 and gonna replace it myself for free lol. the dealership service centers really dont give a damn do they?
